Busselton and Bunbury anchor the northern end of the South West coast — six beaches ranging from the protected, north-north-east-facing Geographe Bay shore at Busselton Town Beach, famous for its 1.8-kilometre timber jetty, to the more exposed ocean-facing beaches at Back Beach Bunbury and Binningup to the north. Geographe Bay beaches are among the calmest in WA for family swimming; the ocean side sees more swell and consistent surf.
