Cronulla is Sydney's only metro beach accessible by train — four north-east-facing beaches on the Bate Bay coastline south of Botany Bay, ranging from the wide patrolled surf beach at Cronulla to the sheltered snorkelling waters of Shelly Beach (a marine reserve) and the exposed, lesser-visited Wanda to the north. The Cronulla Baths ocean pool and the Esplanade strip make this one of Sydney's most complete beach precincts.
